Digital Pedagogy (DP) Subcommittee of the Online Coordinating Council 

The Digital Pedagogy group is a subcommittee of the Online Coordinating Council that fosters collaboration among University learning design communities and faculty to improve teaching and learning, pedagogy, academic service, and research in the digital realm. Our recent projects have involved a grant from the Schreyer Institute for Teaching and Excellence.

World Campus Online Faculty Development
A team dedicated to serving the professional development needs of faculty teaching online, face-to-face, and every combination in between. A particularly popular program is the Certificate for Online Teaching.

Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence
The Schreyer Institute helps faculty and staff to use effective teaching methods, engage all students in the learning process, effectively assess students’ learning, enhance the value of teaching excellence, and inform decision-making about teaching and learning.

Teaching and Learning with Technology
TLT helps Penn State instructors take advantage of information technology to enrich the educational experience of their students. Services are designed to support and promote creative and innovative uses of technology in courses to actively engage learners in acquiring and assimilating the core principles and experiences of a discipline.

EdSurge LOOP
What is LOOP? LOOP introduces you to other higher ed innovators shaping the future of digital learning.

ID2ID
The ID2ID program provides instructional designers an opportunity to engage a community of colleagues across higher education institutions that share the same passion for advancing teaching and learning. This program is designed to help participants grow professionally through focusing on common areas of interest such as: faculty development, academic transformation, digital literacies, accessibility, assessment, open education, and learning spaces. Program participants are paired into mentor, mentee, or peer relationships and work together towards building personalized program goals that directly tailors the experience for specific professional development interests.

IT Learning and Development (ITLD)
IT Learning and Development (ITLD) provides learning opportunities on many of the technology applications and tools that affect our work and lives at Penn State. The goal of this group is to facilitate teaching and learning with technology to enhance the productivity and efficiency of Penn State’s workforce, as well as to provide professional and personal development opportunities to Penn State students, faculty, and staff.

L&D Professionals of Greater Philadelphia
The Learning & Development Professionals of Greater Philadelphia offers professional development opportunities for participants to sharpen their skills and learn how to use new tools in a collaborative environment with best practices. We focus on Instructional  Design, Facilitation, and Learning Technology topics and trends. We design our sessions to be hands-on learning experiences where participants can apply what they learn in the moment, receive valuable feedback, and gain insights on how to make improvements to  their work.

LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos. All Penn State faculty, staff, and students have access to this service.

With more than 5,000 courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests. You can also choose to add these courses and related skills to your LinkedIn profile once you’ve completed them.
